So let’s jump into the tutorial!

Diy outdoor cushions no sew. The seat cushions are a piece of cake to remove when i need to wash them or just don't want them on. So i decided to make my own! Use your machine to sew all the way around the edges with a 1/2″ seam allowance. Below is a step by step tutorial on how i made my own no sew patio seat cushions.

Flatten out one side of the fabric then, in line with the cushion, fold the excess fabric to create a tidy, straight crease, then staple it in place. Sew the three sides in place. I, unfortunately, threw out my cushions two years ago before i realized i could have reused the actual cushion.

Since my cushions were going outside and the bottom wouldn’t be visible i chose to save fabric by not covering the entire bottom. The width of my foam was almost the width of the fabric. Then fold the “ends” and secure them as well.

The solution i came up with is so simple it’s almost embarrassing. I was in the curtain isle because i also need new. For four 17 by 17 cushions, i ordered 3 yards of fabric.

Just line the staples up so they look nice. In other words, this project just became 1,000% easier. If you have cushions do not throw them out!

Wrap the corners neatly and pull taut and then pin. If you're simply recovering the old cushions, take whatever fabric you've chosen and fold it lengthwise so the wrong side of the fabric faces out. Put your patio cushion in the top corner of the fabric, with the rear of the cushion near the top side, and allow enough space on the side for the fabric to wrap up the side of the patio cushion. All that was left was those dang brown cushions. This is just like wrapping a present, but instead of paper it’s fabric and instead of tape, you’re using hot glue.
